In short

  • Together stores the tasks, checklists, locations, and comments you and your pod-mates create — that's the whole product.
  • Anyone you're not sharing a pod with can't see your stuff. We fixed a bug that used to allow that (see "How we protect it").
  • We don't run ads, sell data, or use analytics or tracking SDKs of any kind.
  • We use Google Firebase to run the app and OpenStreetMap for map images — both described below.
  • Email us any time to see, correct, or delete your data.

01Who we are

Together is developed and published by Tyche Apps. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Together Android app — a shared task list for a "pod": a family, a group of roommates, friends planning something together, or any small group getting things done as one list.

If anything here is unclear, email tyche.apps@gmail.com — a person reads that inbox, not a bot.

02What we collect

Everything below exists to run a shared task list. There's no data collected for any other purpose.

Category What it includes Why we have it
Account info Your name, email address, and profile photo, from Google Sign-In. Creates your account and identifies you to your pod-mates.
Tasks & content Task titles, descriptions, checklists, due dates, comments, and reactions you write. The core of the app — the list you and your pod share.
Locations you add An address you type onto a task, and the coordinates we resolve from it on your device. Shows a map preview on that task.
Link previews A URL you share into a task, and the page's own title/image/description, fetched automatically. Turns a raw link into a readable preview card.
Device push token An identifier Google assigns your device for notifications. Delivers alerts when your pod's activity happens.

We deliberately don't collect any of the following:

Precise or background GPS location Contacts Photos beyond one you choose to upload Payment or financial info Health data Advertising identifiers Analytics or tracking SDKs

03How sharing in a pod works

This isn't "third-party sharing" — it's the app doing its job.

A pod is the group you share a list with. Every task, checklist, location, comment, and reaction you add to a pod is visible to every other member of that same pod — that's what makes it a shared list instead of a private notes app. Your account info (name, photo) is likewise visible to anyone you share a pod with, so they know who did what.

Nobody outside your pod's membership can see any of it. Joining a pod requires an invite code from an existing member; there's no public directory or search.

04Who else sees it

Just our infrastructure providers — nobody buys or sees your data for their own purposes.

Together runs on Google Firebase — Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging. Firebase is our hosting and infrastructure provider: it stores and processes your data on our behalf, under Google's own privacy policy, but it isn't used for Google's own advertising and we don't run Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

When a task has a location attached, the small map image is fetched directly from OpenStreetMap's public tile servers. That request includes your device's IP address and the map area being shown, the same as any map image on the web — governed by OpenStreetMap Foundation's privacy policy.

We don't sell your data, run ads, or share it with data brokers, ever.

05How we protect it

Everything the app sends and receives travels over encrypted HTTPS/TLS connections. Data at rest in Firebase is encrypted by Google's own infrastructure-level encryption.

Access to a pod's data is enforced by server-side security rules, not just app logic — the app itself has no admin backdoor a regular pod member can reach, and every request is checked against exactly which pods you belong to before any data is returned.

In plain terms: as the app's developer, we can access data through our own infrastructure — same as the operator of any hosted app. We only do so to fix bugs, respond to a support request, or as legally required, never to browse people's lists out of curiosity.

06Keeping & deleting your data

While you're using Together

We keep your account and pod content for as long as your account exists, so your lists are there when you open the app.

Leaving a pod

Leaving a pod removes your membership immediately. Content you added stays with the pod for the members who remain — the same way it would in any shared document — unless you delete it yourself first. If you're the last member, the whole pod and everything in it is deleted.

Deleting your account

Email tyche.apps@gmail.com from your account's address with "Delete my account" in the subject. We'll remove your sign-in credentials, your profile (name, email, photo, device token), and every pod membership within 30 days. Content you shared inside a pod may remain there for the pod's other members, same as leaving described above — tell us if you'd like specific content removed too and we'll do our best to accommodate it.

07Children's privacy

Together is meant for adults and teens managing a household, group, or project together — it isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

08Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we'll update the effective date above and, for anything significant, let you know in the app or by email. Checking back here occasionally is always fine too.
